Tax service: self-employed — how to confirm status and income

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In order to confirm your “self-employed” status and receive an official certificate of income received, you do not need to contact the tax authority. Anyone can do this online using the services of the Federal Tax Service website.

You can find out whether a citizen is registered as a payer of professional income tax (PIT) through a free service “Check your professional income tax payer status”which is posted in the section of the Federal Tax Service website «Tax on professional income».

By indicating the citizen identification number, as well as the required date, you can obtain information about the fact of registration as a payer of NAP.

If a “self-employed” person needs not only to obtain data on status, but also to provide an official document (certificate), then this can also be done without contacting the tax authority, through “Personal account for professional income tax payer (self-employed)”.

When using the web version of your personal account, the function is implemented in the “Settings / Help” section, and in the “My Tax” mobile application — in the “Other / Help” section.

In your personal account, you can create a “self-employed” 2 certificates:

  • On the status of calculations (income) for professional income tax for the year.

The document contains information about the amount of income monthly and for the calendar year, the amount of taxes paid, as well as debt (if any).

  • Certificate of registration (deregistration) of an individual as an NPA taxpayer for the year.

The document contains the last name, first name and patronymic of the self-employed person, his identification number, information about the identity document, the address of permanent or temporary registration, the date of registration (withdrawal) as a payer of the “Professional Income Tax”, as well as the name of the tax authority, in which he is registered.

Let us clarify that certificates of status and income generated in this way, signed with an electronic digital signature of the tax authority, are official documents. They can be used to receive benefits, loans, as well as for any other cases, in order to confirm the income received as a “self-employed” person.
