Tax Service: The deadline for paying property taxes has expired. Crimeans are warned: penalties are coming
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The deadline for timely payment of property taxes by individuals for last year expired on December 1.
Starting from December 2, accrued and unpaid taxes for land plots, vehicles and real estate became a debt, for which a penalty is charged for each day of non-payment. Unpaid tax debt is collected through enforcement measures, including seizure of property, and may result in restrictions on travel abroad.
It is important to note that the absence of a tax notice does not relieve the taxpayer from the obligation to pay taxes. If a tax notice has not been received, the taxpayer must contact any tax authority or MFC branch.
Information about the presence of debt on property taxes can be obtained on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia (service “Taxpayer Personal Account for Individuals”), on the “State Services” portal, or by contacting the tax authority.
To inform taxpayers on issues of payment of property taxes, the Interdistrict Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service of Russia No. 8 for the Republic of Crimea continues to operate hotlines +7 (3654) 22-26-95, +7 (3654) 22-26-64.
