Tax service: using an enhanced electronic signature has become even easier for businessmen

Organizations and entrepreneurs can use free software for working with an enhanced qualified electronic signature (ECES).

We are talking about an electronic signature issued to the tax authorities, an authorized representative of the Federal Tax Service, or generated in the taxpayer’s Personal Account. Users of the Certification Center of the Federal Tax Service of Russia (CA) who received the UKEP after April 4, 2024 can take advantage of this opportunity; such a signature, when generated, already has license agreements with Crypto-Pro LLC or InfoTeKS JSC.

If the UKEP was issued before the specified date, it can be reissued. Upon receipt of a new UKEP, the user will receive a free license to work with the software.

It is most convenient to re-issue the UKEP remotely, via “Personal account of a taxpayer of a legal entity” And “Personal account of an individual entrepreneur” on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. Re-issue will take no more than 5 minutes. To do this, the user must log into their Personal Account using a valid electronic signature and select the appropriate service. UKEP can only be recorded on the medium on which the Federal Tax Service certificate was originally received.

If the taxpayer uses the service when submitting reports “Presentation of tax and accounting reports” on the Federal Tax Service website, then after extending the validity period of the UKEP, you need to register a new electronic signature certificate with an existing subscriber ID. To do this, you need to log in to the Internet service. “Self-registration service for taxpayers in the tax reporting system” on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia under the registered credentials and select the “Register certificate” button. Next, select a new certificate (file *.cer — UKEP public key) and repeat the registration procedure. The subscriber ID will remain the same, but it will “catch up” with the new signature. Please note that each time you receive a new UKEP, it must be re-registered in the legally significant electronic document management system.
