Taxi prices will increase in Crimea. It would seem, where else… but no, the law is harsh
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Crimean Parliament passed the lawregulating the transportation of passengers and luggage in taxis in the region. In fact, this is a copy of the Federal Law that came into force on September 1. It would seem like a good thing — the legislative act defines the requirements for passenger taxis and the carrier, the procedure for posting information from regional registers, and also establishes the specifics of organizing the transportation of passengers and luggage by passenger taxis in the territories of airports, railway stations and bus stations.
But… the new law imposes a number of requirements on the organization of taxi transportation and on the taxi drivers themselves, which the business will decide at the expense of the clients. It is possible that taxi prices (already very high in Crimea) will rise. We explain in advance what taxi drivers will spend (and complain) about.
Thus, taxi drivers working in Crimea, in order to ensure the safety and quality of passenger transportation, will be required to obtain electronic permits for their activities in three registers: for vehicles entitled to provide the service, for passenger taxi carriers and for transport companies.
The increase in budget revenue will be facilitated by the mandatory registration of carriers on the territory of the Republic— explained the State Council of Crimea, without explaining where the taxi drivers will get the money from, which will increase the budget of the Republic of Crimea.
In this case, the cars must be equipped with a special information system for accepting orders, and the carrier must be registered in the Crimea. The color scheme of the passenger taxi body must be white, yellow, gray (silver) or black.
In addition, a passenger taxi must have an electric motor or an internal combustion engine of at least the second environmental class. From 2025 to 2027, the class of cars approved for taxi service will be gradually increased to a level not lower than the fifth environmental classnoted in the Crimean parliament.
Local authorities will also have to fork out money and move: create digital databases, draw parking spaces…
When organizing the transportation of passengers and luggage by passenger taxis, executive bodies and local government bodies of municipalities, in accordance with their powers, provide for the organization of parking lots (parking spaces) for passenger taxis in places of high demand for the transportation of passengers and luggage — at airports, railway stations, bus stations (bus stations) ), cultural objects, medical organizations and other objects.
The implementation of this law will make it possible to digitize and introduce the passenger taxi industry in Crimea into the digital economy. The entire database will also be digitized — more than 16 thousand permits, which is already available in the Ministry of Transport— emphasized in the Crimean parliament.
