Teachers of Sevastopol were awarded letters of gratitude from the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation

Sirius University summed up the results of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor and celebrated the best workers in the education sector of the Southern Federal District, as well as the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

The teachers were congratulated by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov and the head of the administration of the federal territory «Sirius» Dmitry Plishkin.

Sevastopol was represented by a delegation of teachers, advisers, and educators.

Our teachers show high results in training children at all-Russian and international competitions, and also demonstrate their skills and experience by participating in professional competitions. The awards ceremony concluded with a festive concert “Dedication to Teachers.” People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Butman performed jazz improvisations for the guests of the evening.

As part of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, more than seven thousand events at the federal and regional level were held throughout the country. Unique promotions have appeared that have found a great response among Russians. More than two million people took part in the All-Russian “Thanks to the Teacher” campaign.

More than 200 events took place in Sevastopol aimed at disseminating the best teaching and mentoring practices, as well as practices aimed at attracting young people into the teaching profession.
