Technopark «IT Crimea» became a platform for the exhibition of digital art «Carpe Diem»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the basis of the Technopark «IT Crimea» from June 2 to 8, a traveling exhibition of digital art «Carpe Diem» from the creative association «Blizko» was presented. Further, the exhibition will be placed in the library. Tolstoy and will end on June 16. Numerous visitors took part in an additional program of the exhibition: a series of art mediations, lectures on digital art and film screenings. The guests included residents of the Technopark (including the youngest ones — students of the children’s educational center «IT-Kub. Gagarin»). The audience was able to communicate with the artists, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of creativity and feel the power of the impact of art combined with IT technologies.
Together with our residents, we are involved in shaping the cultural agenda of the city. By supporting such events as the “Carpe Diem” exhibition, we give everyone the opportunity to gain new knowledge, positive emotions and meet interesting people. The goal of the Technopark is not only to create comfortable conditions for IT specialists, but also to create a community of creative and active people— commented Maria Tretyakova, Deputy General Director of IT Crimea Technopark.
«Carpe Diem» is Latin for «seize the moment». The main concept of the exhibition is the feelings and emotions of a person that we experience every day, the inner world of each of us. Most of the presented works were created by artists who work in Sevastopol and Crimea, but there are also those who came from other cities to find inspiration here. The exhibition featured: Victoria Leontieva, Maria Arkhangelskaya, Maria Simonova, Arseniy Priyomykhov, Ekaterina Ovsyannikova, Sofia Stotskaya, Yulia Grekhova, mrdvrt, Petru. The exhibition was organized by curator Andrey Bubnov and Victoria Leontyeva (a Sevastopol artist, certified practicing psychologist and art therapist).
We highly appreciate the dynamics of the exhibition. It is valuable that the participants in art mediation were not passive spectators, but were actively involved in the discussion, forming a common discursive field from painting to painting. The exhibition in the Technopark showed that people are interested in art at the intersection of technologies, they are ready to learn new things and meet new formats and genres. The creative environment is definitely still in need of development. And we hope that with similar events in cooperation with the Technopark we will develop this area.Andrey Bubnov, organizer and curator of the exhibition, notes.
