Sevastopol Technopark «IT Crimea» signed a cooperation agreement with the Technopark of Havana. During an online meeting, Dmitry Zelensky, General Director of IT Crimea Technopark, and Rafael Luis Torralbas Ezpeleta, President of the Havana Science and Technology Park, discussed possible areas of cooperation in the field of education, training and promotion of residents’ projects. We discussed priority areas of work and outlined a plan for further cooperation.
Technopark Havana creates an innovative environment in Cuba for project development and the creation of new technology companies. In addition, it is conceived as an organization that brings together scientific research, technological innovation, high-level education, product development and services in the field of information and communication technologies; and the marketing of these products and services for exports and import substitution.
The Technopark of Havana was created on the basis of the University of Information Technology of Havana. Currently, colleagues are developing more than 50 innovative projects in the field of artificial intelligence, healthcare and others. Technopark «IT Crimea» became the first technopark from Russia with which a cooperation agreement was signed. We believe that this can be an excellent launching pad for our residents’ projects to enter the Cuban market, as well as help deepen scientific and technological cooperation for our companies.— says Dmitry Zelensky, General Director of IT Crimea Technopark.
