Teleconference connected Moscow and Sevastopol school museums

The Ecotech+ school hosted a video bridge with the Moscow Victory Museum dedicated to the ninth anniversary of the reunification of Sevastopol with Russia. The event was held under the slogan «The Nakhimov Ribbon has connected cities, epochs, generations with a sea knot.» In person, all those present at the Victory Museum were greeted by the Senator of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Altabaeva. Representatives of the Department of Education and Science, advisers to the directors of education and activists of the Engineering School and School No. 14, participants of the All-Russian project «Navigators of Childhood», activists of the Yunarmia, the Russian movement of children and youth «Movement of the First», participants of Post No. 1 took part in the event via videoconferencing. Sevastopol is a Hero City, a city of three heroic defenses, a city in which every building and street is saturated with heroic history and the spirit of patriotism. Nine years ago, Crimeans and Sevastopol residents made their choice. And now our children must be worthy of the memory of their ancestors, the memory of the heroic defense of 2014— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science Stanislav Feoktistov.
Sevastopol residents presented the experience of holding actions and events within the framework of the regional marathon «Russian Spring in Sevastopol», children’s and youth initiatives, patronage relations, the work of the assets of school museums, the expositions of which reflect the history of the Heroes, after whom educational institutions are named. The participants of the video bridge especially noted the importance of preserving traditions, connection and continuity of generations, and historical memory.
We are proud that such an event dedicated to the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia took place at the Victory Museum. As part of the teleconference, museums dedicated to the history of Crimea and Sevastopol discussed development prospects and exchanged experience with Russian colleagues from other regions. Sevastopol is a city of great destiny, and it is very important that the guys, being in different regions of Russia, together realize their involvement in the common history of the country, are ready to share their knowledge with each other, sincerely love, want to be friends. In drawings, songs, poems, projects, the guys express their love for the Hero City— says Elena Slesarenko, head of the Children’s Center of the Victory Museum.
The meeting was also attended by activists of school museums in Moscow, whose expositions reflect the history of the Hero City of Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet. Residents of Kotlas, Novosibirsk, Kostroma, Vyazma also joined the teleconference. In total, more than 400 people became participants.
