On March 2, at the World Youth Festival in Sirius, a solo concert of the rap artist from Donbass OM took place. The artist and his team perform in the genre of musical storytelling. At the Festival site, the artist performed tracks known to his fans, including the song after which people started talking about him — “And the boy doesn’t sleep.”
He captivated listeners with the sincerity of his songs and received standing ovations from guests from different parts of our planet. The concert brought together participants of WFM-2024 from different countries: Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and other countries. The performer is grateful to the World Youth Festival for the opportunity to perform in Sirius for young people from different countries.
I really like how everything is organized here, I like the audience. Foreign listeners of the concert also express their respect; it’s nice that they also respond to my performance. My task is to tell the truth through my songs, to open people’s eyes. Through sincerity, honesty and with an open heart, convey the truth to people, — said OM.
Previously, the performer took part in the creation of an updated collection of merch “Donbass 2.0” — “Where Donbass is” from the art cluster “Tavrida” (a project of Rosmolodezh) and the project “Art.Youth”. The line is permeated with the spirit of patriotism, nostalgia and courage. The bright leitmotif of her visual solution was traditional Donbass embroidery. And it is filled with important meaning by the reference to the work of the great composer, author of the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” and the symphonic fairy tale “Peter and the Wolf” of 1936 — a native of Donbass, Sergei Prokofiev. His quotes and notes from his works are illustrated on the clothing.
During the World Youth Festival you can also see the exhibition “Without Borders. Artists of Donbass». The paintings reflect inner experiences and innermost dreams, revealing the hidden feelings of the residents of Donbass. The project represents the reflection of young creators, once again proving that art can become a real support for a person.
The World Youth Festival is taking place on the federal territory of Sirius from March 1 to 7, 2024 in accordance with the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to develop international youth cooperation. The organizer of the World Youth Festival is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the operator of WFM-2024 is the Directorate of the World Youth Festival. The Tavrida art cluster acts as a content partner of the event and presents a series of projects in the Festival program demonstrating the achievements of young art in modern Russia.
