Against the backdrop of abnormal heat that has engulfed the Russian Plain and the southern Far East, the past 24 hours have been marked by another series of 40 temperature records, nine of which were recorded in regional centers— Tishkovets said.

He recalled that record heat was recorded in Moscow on Tuesday – the air in the capital warmed up to plus 32 degrees (the previous temperature record – plus 31.9 degrees – was set in 1890). In addition, record temperatures were recorded in Tver — plus 33.7 degrees (plus 32.9 degrees in 1999), in Bryansk — plus 32.3 (plus 30.7 in 1991), in Vladimir — plus 32.3 (plus 30 in 1964), in Tula — plus 31.8 (plus 30.6 in 1991), in Vologda — plus 30.6 (plus 30.2 in 1999), in Vladivostok — plus 27.4 (plus 27.3 in 1994), in Simferopol — plus 35.3 (plus 34.5 in 1938), in Zaporozhye — plus 35.5 (plus 35 in 1991).

Today, the «tongue» of heat will be directed from Donbass through the Black Earth Region, the Middle Volga Region, the Volga-Vyatka Region, the Perm Region and the Middle Urals, which means that new temperature records are possible in these regions.— the weather forecaster notes.
