In the regions of the Southern Federal District (SFD), with the help of infrastructure budget loans (IBK), social, utility, road and other infrastructure facilities necessary for citizens are being built, which, among other things, become a driver for the development of housing construction. IBK projects have contributed to the construction of more than 1.8 million square meters there. m of housing, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.

The Southern Federal District is an important economic, cultural, and tourist center, so it is necessary to increase its attractiveness in a comprehensive manner — both for local residents and tourists. The socio-economic development of the regions of southern Russia has already gained a good pace, and the mechanism of infrastructure budget loans helps in this regard. The implementation of such projects also contributes to the development of other industries. Thus, thanks to the IBC, more than 1.83 million sq. m. have already been commissioned in the Southern Federal District. m of housing, about 6.8 thousand jobs were created, more than 175.5 billion rubles of investment were attractedsaid Marat Khusnullin.

The Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Irek Faizullin said that during the implementation of the IBC program, 28 objects were introduced in 6 regions of the Southern Federal District, and residents received more than 200 units of public transport.

The work was carried out in the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov regions, the republics of Adygea, Crimea and Kalmykia. At the same time, more than 67% of commissioned facilities account for engineering and communal infrastructure,” noted Irek Fayzullin.

The IBC mechanism is part of the Government’s socio-economic initiative “Infrastructure Menu”.

As the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation emphasized, the program is in great demand in the regions, and most importantly there is a good result.
