The commander of the Sevastopol Marines, Hero of Russia Oleg Vlasov reported that since the beginning of the special military operation, the number of units entrusted to him was 2,441 people. The brigade now includes 19 new combat units. At the moment, the number of units is 11,365 people. Combat missions are carried out simultaneously in three groupings of troops and forces.

I know about this, we discussed it with the Minister and the General Staff yesterday. The brigade has become large: there were a little over three thousand at the beginning, and now there are more than 11 thousand. This is a division. I think that we need to follow this path; we talked about this with the Minister yesterday. It is necessary to reorganize the brigade into a division and arrange all command and control organs accordingly. Let’s do so. I know about your brigade, it is constantly heard. Thank you for your military work. Best wishes to all soldiers and officerssaid Vladimir Putin.
