The action «Learn to swim» started in Sevastopol. It is the second time that it has been held — last year more than 400 people attended open water training. Classes for children aged 6 to 12 years are held on the beaches of Omega, Uchkuevka and Solnechny . You can visit them throughout July every day, except Monday, from : before 13: 00.
Last year, for the first time and quite successfully, the action «Learn to swim» was held. We are one of the regions that is in the active phase of implementing this program. Anyone can take swimming lessons under the patronage of professional coaches during July in order to get a primary skill. I hope that we will achieve the indicators that we have set for ourselves this year. We plan to increase the figure and educate more children , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the department for youth and sports, Sergei Reznichenko.
Training is conducted by professional swimming instructors. The number of children in the group is up to eight people. Every sixth lesson is a control: the children swim as much as they can, and the coach evaluates the technique of movements.
We cooperate with rescuers, safety briefings are carried out, the territories are examined for piercing, cutting objects, we take into account all safety measures , — Sergey Reznichenko notes.
