The “Active Longevity” program is being implemented in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Sevastopol, as part of the “Active Longevity” program, there are many clubs, sports sections, and creative master classes. All activities are adapted to the needs of older people, which allows you to choose an activity to your liking and add variety to the life of an elderly person.

Sevastopol resident Vyacheslav Stepanovich Guryev was born in 1950, has a higher medical education by profession as a veterinarian. Throughout his professional career, he managed to work with all types of domestic and wild animals: as a veterinarian at the zoo, circus, and at the hippodrome. He taught at a university in the department of surgery, worked in research institutes, where he participated in animal research, and developed technologies for mass vaccinations.

In his youth, he was involved in all types of team sports, and was a coach of university teams in basketball, football and volleyball. I had the opportunity to work with the Ukrainian national football team. During the USSR period he was a tourism instructor. Worked as a sports instructor and swimming director in children’s health camps– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Vyacheslav Guryev.

Being an active person all his life, Vyacheslav Stepanovich does not sit at home. He has been visiting the Sevastopol Social Service Center for many years, where he receives a whole range of services — health improvement, gym classes, board games, concerts and field trips, as well as assistance in using a cell phone.

I learned about the social service center from my neighbor and was interested in the department for pensioners. For example, off-site excursions provide an opportunity to stay in good shape and participate in the cultural life of the city, and hot lunches at the Yunost cafe add variety to your diet. In general, periodic stays at the center add variety to the life of a pensioner, – notes the Sevastopol resident.

Let us remind you that “active longevity” is being implemented with the support of the regional project “Older Generation” of the national project “Demography”.
