The authorities of Simferopol reported filing a lawsuit against the contractor for the improvement of the square near the House of Culture and Trade Unions. The Popular Front and city residents raised certain problems with the safety of the new facility related to the lack of full warranty repairs.

Work to improve one of the largest public gardens in Simferopol took place in 2020 with varying degrees of success; their cost was more than 200 million rubles. The contract was 97% paid, but in 2021 it was terminated due to violation of work deadlines. Over the past few years, city residents, together with NF experts, have raised issues of failed tiles, broken steps, and sometimes collapsing platforms. For obvious reasons, warranty repairs are not easy. These problems are resolved manually while law enforcement agencies continue inspections— reported the press service of the Popular Front in Crimea.

Now the next stage has begun — the city authorities announced that due to the contractor ignoring the claims, a lawsuit has been filed to recover funds.

Representatives of the Popular Front will continue to raise this issue, ensuring that all repairs and additional work on the new park are reimbursed by the contractor, and that the shortcomings are properly corrected.
