The events will take place in Yalta, Simferopol, Feodosia, Evpatoria and Sevastopol. Public youth and patriotic organizations of Crimea will join the action.

The famous landmark of Crimea, the Livadia Palace, will open its doors to Orthodox and patriotic songs of Victory as part of the “Blue Handkerchief of Victory” campaign performed by the Orthodox choir “Slavoslovy”. Artistic director Sofia Chernobay and her team will perform with the blessing of Dean Archpriest George Dick, senior priest of St. Nicholas Cathedral. The location of the event was not chosen by chance; the Livadia Palace is closely connected with historically significant events, including the Yalta Conference.

Songs of the Great Victory will be performed in Sevastopol by wives and mothers of military personnel. Each participant in the event will have a gift — a blue handkerchief, a symbol of clear skies, female fidelity and faith in the Great Victory.

A musical flash mob will be held in Yevpatoria with the participation of residents and guests of the city, and a children’s patriotic art event “Blue Handkerchief of Victory” will also start for the first time. Its participants, students of the MBUDO “Evpatoria Children’s School of Arts named after Yu.V. Volkov,” will hand over the Easter Easter egg to the young parishioners of the Yalta Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Martyr Queen Alexandra. This art object, a symbol of rebirth and eternal life, will be exhibited on the territory of the Temple in Yalta.

Traditionally, a flower-laying ceremony will take place in Feodosia on the eve of May 9 with the participation of activists, public figures and deputies.

Crimeans warmly welcomed us and actively participated in events within the framework of the Program for preserving the historical memory of the contribution of women to the Victory and traditional values ​​“Blue Handkerchief of Victory”. Since 2016, the Russian Land Charitable Foundation has been implementing the “Blue Handkerchief” program for preserving the historical memory of women’s contribution to the Victory and traditional family values. The author and initiator of the program is the president of the Russian Land Charitable Foundation, Anna Danilova. In terms of scale and goals, the program is on a par with the “St. George’s Ribbon” and “Immortal Regiment” campaigns.

The mission of the program is to provide maximum assistance in perpetuating the historical memory of our ancestors who defended their Motherland during the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War, as well as to help the families of those who are now defending our Motherland. Within the framework of the program, cultural-patriotic and song events, forums and conferences on the preservation of historical memory, performances, a competition of creative works are being implemented, centers for weaving camouflage nets and making stretchers have been opened, the delivery of humanitarian aid has been organized, and the “Blue Handkerchief” propaganda team performs on-site performances.

The program is aimed at preserving historical memory, supporting soldiers of the Northern Military District, developing the patriotic education of youth, as well as patronage of Veterans’ Councils in the regions, and working with maternity hospitals. Since 2016, Program events have been held in 30 cities of Russia: Moscow, Barnaul, Belgorod, Beloretsk, Vladimir, Vologda, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Gorno-Altaisk, Grozny, Izhevsk, Krasnodar, Kuznetsk, Kursk, Novorossiysk, Orel, Orenburg, Rostov-on-Don -Don, Ryazan, Salavat, St. Petersburg, Sibay, Smolensk, Sochi, Stary Oskol, Sterlitamak, Tambov, Tula, Tuymazy, Ulan-Ude.
