The All-Russian action “St. George’s Ribbon” was launched in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The All-Russian action “St. George’s Ribbon” has started in Crimea. On the eve of May 9, on the streets of municipalities of the Republic of Crimea, activists of the VOD “Volunteers of Victory” will distribute St. George ribbons — a symbol of Victory, military glory, which is worn near the heart as a sign of respect for the feat of the victors in the Great Patriotic War.
On April 24, the start of the action took place in Simferopol, where Victory Volunteers distributed the St. George Ribbon on the central streets of the city. Volunteers told residents the rules for wearing the St. George Ribbon and distributed a leaflet with a brief historical background about the symbol of military glory, as well as recommendations for wearing it.
The action will be held in all municipalities of the Republic of Crimea from April 24 to May 9 in memory of the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
