The Republic of Crimea became the winner among the best constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of organizing recreation and health improvement for children in the Southern Federal District based on the results of the 2023 summer health campaign. Participants in the All-Russian Forum of Organizers of Children’s Recreation and Health Improvement «Big Meanings — 2023» included government representatives, specialists in the field of organizing children’s recreation and health improvement and local governments, masters of the professional community in the field of children’s recreation (managers and employees of children’s recreation and health improvement organizations, regardless of forms of ownership, other interested organizations, teaching staff, counselors).

The Forum events started on October 11, 2023. At the Forum, representatives of the professional community had the opportunity to discuss the main issues of organizing children’s recreation and their health, exchange effective practices, model the development program of their organizations taking into account the development goals of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation and existing support measures, gain practical experience in creating a comprehensive plan for updating the infrastructure of a children’s camp taking into account the creation of accessibility for children with disabilities and children with disabilities, the content of shift programs.

As part of the Forum, an exhibition and presentation of best practices from the regions took place, with special attention paid to the following topics: military-patriotic and civil-patriotic shifts, events; conducting career guidance and specialized shifts, forms of employment for minors during the summer, organizing work with children with disabilities and disabilities— said the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Crimea.

At the ceremony, the winners of the All-Russian review competition to determine the best constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of organizing recreation and health improvement for children in the Southern Federal District were awarded based on the results of the summer health campaign in 2023, among which the Republic of Crimea became the winner. The organizer of the competition was the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
