The annual All-Russian project “Good to the Village” has started in Crimea, which is designed to improve the condition of paramedic and midwifery stations, as well as increase public awareness about healthy lifestyle issues and the prevention of the most common diseases.
Within three months, employees of the State Budgetary Institution of Healthcare of the Republic of Crimea “Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention” and volunteers of the Crimean regional branch of the VOD “Medical Volunteers” will visit rural medical institutions in at least 14 districts— reported the press service of the Republican Ministry of Health.
The first trip in 2024 took place in the villages of Pleasant Date and Malinovka, Bakhchisaray district. As Vladimir Meshcheryakov, chief freelance specialist in medical prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, chief physician of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention” noted, special attention was paid to the topic of tuberculosis prevention. Residents were given thematic information materials and were also invited to a fluorographic examination, which could be taken on April 9 at a medical outpatient clinic in the village of Pleasant Date. For these purposes, a mobile fluorograph is planned.
During communication with the population of two villages of the Bakhchisarai region, doctors and volunteers reminded about the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle, the prevention of arterial hypertension, and the importance of giving up bad habits. A survey of residents was conducted on the topic of awareness of the dangers of smoking. 62 people answered the survey questions. In addition, consultations on taking care of their health were organized for 49 rural residents. Volunteers also cleaned the area adjacent to the medical clinic.— said Vladimir Meshcheryakov.
The next trip of doctors and volunteers within the framework of the All-Russian project “Good to the Village” is planned in village of Muromskoye, Belogorsk district.
