The All-Russian “Wish Tree” started in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On the eve of the New Year holidays, the Russian movement of children and youth “Movement of the First” launched the All-Russian campaign “Tree of Wishes”. Her goal is to give joy and a feeling of New Year’s magic to children who find themselves in difficult life situations.

The wish tree has become a good New Year’s tradition throughout the country. Every year we have the opportunity to make someone’s dream come true: give a gift, make a wish come true and simply create a New Year’s mood. It is very important that every year more and more participants join the action — this means that every year there are more and more happy people in our country who believe in miracles— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the youth affairs department Marina Slonchenko.

The dreams of children from 3 to 17 years old are brought to life by entrepreneurs, government officials and caring residents of Sevastopol. The promotion will run until February 28, 2024.

In 2023, the First Movement became the organizer of the action for the first time. The project will unite hundreds of Sevastopol residents who are ready to do good and become New Year’s wizards for young dreamers. We have already received many wishes from children and will do everything to make every child’s dream come true,” noted Anna Molchanova, Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the Movement of the First.

The following can take part in the promotion:

  • children (from 3 to 17 years old inclusive) with disabilities;
  • children (from 3 to 17 years inclusive) with disabilities;
  • children (from 3 to 17 years inclusive) with a life-threatening health condition;
  • orphans and children left without parental care (from 3 to 17 years old inclusive);
  • children (from 3 to 17 years old inclusive) from families with income below the subsistence level;
  • children (from 3 to 17 years old inclusive) from families of military personnel and (or) mobilized, taking or taking part in a special military operation;
  • children (from 3 to 17 years old inclusive) living and registered in the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

The promotion includes three categories of wishes — tangible, intangible, surprise gift. Material desires include the following categories: educational materials and books, hobby goods, musical instruments, sports equipment and equipment, children’s and educational toys, clothes and outfits (costumes). Intangible — role (for example, “I want to become a train driver”), trip (for example, “I want to visit Moscow”), goal (for example, “I dream of going to the New Year’s show”), meeting (for example, “I dream of meeting with an astronaut»).

As part of the promotion, applications for surprise gifts are also accepted, where the performer independently chooses a gift for the dreamer based on the dreamer’s preferences, interests and hobbies.

The campaign has been implemented since 2018 throughout the Russian Federation and unites thousands of people who are ready to do good deeds. Every year, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, joins in making children’s New Year’s wishes come true. To become a participant in the promotion, you must register on the website tree of wishes.rf.
