The Arbitration Court of Crimea registered a claim for the recovery of damage from Ukraine due to the water blockade of the peninsula

A claim for one hundred and fifty billion.

The claim for the recovery of damage from Ukraine due to the water blockade of the peninsula was registered in the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Crimea. It was presented to the State of Ukraine represented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, the State Agency for Water Resources and the North Crimean Canal Administration. The document was submitted by seven Crimean ministries and the State Committee for Water Management and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Crimea.

The amount of damage suffered by the peninsula as a result of the water blockade amounted to 152.2 billion rubles.

According to Vladimir Konstantinov, head of the highest legislative body of the republic, this is the result of joint activities with executive authorities and a contribution to establishing justice at the official, legal level.

Work on the formation of claims against the terrorist entity «Ukraine», against the West, sponsoring all the crimes of the Kyiv junta, including against Crimea and the Crimeans, will be continued and brought to its logical conclusion— said Konstantinov.

In turn, the First Vice-Speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Yefim Fix, who was present at the filing of documents with the Arbitration Court, recalled that the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, initiated the creation of a working group to analyze the damage suffered by the Republic of Crimea during the period of its being part of Ukraine and as a result of the illegal acts of Ukraine in relation to the republic after its admission to the Russian Federation. It included representatives of the legislative and executive bodies of the Republic.

Yefim Fiks stressed that this claim was prepared in order to protect and restore the rights and legitimate interests of Crimea.

As a result of the actions of the defendants, including in the exercise of public authority, the sovereignty and economic security of the Republic of Crimea were harmed, material damage was caused to the sectors of the economy of the peninsula, the interests of large social groups were affected, the constitutional rights and freedoms of individuals were violated— the parliamentarian quoted the document.
