On behalf of the Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the archive of Sevastopol resumes work on the formation of funds of personal origin. This means that the inhabitants of the Hero-City are archiving photographs, documents, letters and the most valuable — memories that are associated with the history and development of Sevastopol. Matvey Borisovich Boherman also became the archive’s fund-maker; at the age of 95, he is an honored builder of the Republic of Crimea.
Matvey Borisovich came to work in Sevastopol in 1949, as a student at a construction college. Boherman became one of those who rebuilt the destroyed Sevastopol after the end of the Great Patriotic War. Thanks to his work, the city is decorated with such buildings as the Central Design Bureau «Chernomorets», the building of the city committee of the Communist Party (today — the Legislative Assembly), the Board of Honor on Pavel Stepanovich Nakhimov Square, residential buildings in the center of Sevastopol and many more objects on the Crimean peninsula. Matvey Borisovich’s work experience in construction is 70 years, of which 64 he devoted to the Sevastopolstroy trust, where he rose from foreman to chief engineer. The honored builder retired at the age of 92, and now he decided to share his memories and photographs with the Sevastopol archive.

Both originals and digital copies are transferred to the archive, which become valuable objects and part of the history of the Hero City of Sevastopol.
