On March 18, the grand opening of the Tavrida art residence took place in the building of the Landlord Mansion in Sudak. In the city it will become a new point of attraction for children and youth. At the opening, guests of honor and residents of the Tavrida art cluster (a project of Rosmolodezh) performed for the residents and guests of Sudak, a dance flash mob took place, as well as master classes for children and adults. It is symbolic that the opening took place on March 18, the tenth anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia, and became a gift to the people of Sudak on this significant date for the country.

Today, on the holiday of the Day of Reunification of Crimea with Russia, the dream of Sudak residents has come true — “Tavrida” has breathed new life into the historical building of the Landowner’s Mansion. A majestic three-story building with a mezzanine in the very center of Sudak, known as the Landowner’s Mansion, was built in 1912 and was intended as a private summer cottage. During the Great Patriotic War, the mansion was destroyed. After restoration, the District Executive Committee, the office of the wine-making state farm «Sudak», the city registry office and the Sudak Faculty of Management and Economics of TNU named after. V. I. Vernadsky. For the last 8 years the building has been completely abandoned.

In the fall of 2023, on the initiative of the Tavrida art cluster, together with the Administration of the city of Sudak, renovation work began on the mansion. The building’s load-bearing structures were strengthened, all communications were replaced, the most modern engineering systems were installed, and major repairs were carried out both outside and inside, as well as in the adjacent park area.

Now a full-fledged art residence “Tavrida” has opened its doors here — a leisure and educational center and a point of attraction for children and youth of the Sudak urban district. In the very center of the city, the project office of the art cluster “Tavrida”, children’s clubs and sections together with the Sudak Children’s and Youth Education Center, exhibitions, lectures, master classes for adults and children began their work, a chess club and a pottery workshop will soon open , robotics club, children’s initiative center, library, coworking space and much more. It is symbolic that the art residence opened on March 18, the tenth anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia, and this became a gift to the people of Sudak on a significant date for the country.

On the opening day, guests of honor performed for residents and guests of the city, as well as a resident of the Tavrida art cluster (a project of Rosmolodezh) LEBEDEVA and a musician from Donetsk OM. (Dima Pakhomov). Everyone could take part in a dance flash mob, as well as master classes on making glass mosaics, coffee art, candles in shells, brooches, and introductory classes on chess, robotics and 3D modeling.
Also on this day, for all residents and guests of Sudak, a festive concert was held at the Rose Valley House of Culture, in which residents of the Tavrida art cluster took part.

Over the 10 years of its existence, “Tavrida” has transformed from a youth forum into a large-scale art cluster, including educational trips for young figures of Russian culture, the festival of young art “Tavrida.ART”, the Academy of Creative Industries “Meganom”, land and underwater art parks, a federal network of art residences and a project for young Russian artists and designers “Art.Youth”. Now an art residence will join the ecosystem of Tavrida projects, which will become a point of attraction for children and youth of Sudak.
