The asphalt pavement sagged on the Simferopol – Alushta – Yalta highway

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Crimean Transport Minister Nikolai Lukashenko reported about a traffic nuisance that awaits motorists on the Simferopol-Alushta-Yalta highway.

Dear residents and guests of the Republic of Crimea! During detours of highways, destruction of the base of the road pavement due to groundwater was revealed on 169 km of the Simferopol — Alushta — Yalta road. The destruction has now been localized. We ask you to be extremely careful when driving in this area and comply with the requirements of the Road Traffic Regulationsthe minister wrote in his Telegram channel.

Let’s correct Nikolai Lukashenko: when he said “169th km”, he meant highway 35A-002 (as they wrote earlier, from the “border with Ukraine”, but in fact — almost from Armyansk to Yalta). So, the mysterious place of asphalt subsidence is in the Alushta area (before reaching the turn from the resort to Luchistoye). But this fact will not make the hole smaller; on the contrary, until the repair work is completed, you need to drive as carefully as possible on this section of the route. Groundwater is an insidious phenomenon.
