The August conference of educators was held in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The traditional August conference of educators took place in Sevastopol.

School is our future, how we work together with teachers depends on how our country will live through — years. We discussed a lot of important issues today. Honestly and frankly. They also talked about what prevents teachers from working: sometimes, in an overly bureaucratic process, you have to fill out a lot of paperwork. As you already know, there are shifts. From September 1, the list of papers that the teacher will have to fill out will be strictly limited , — the press service of the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev quotes.

In his appeal, the governor also noted an important issue — the provision of official housing for teachers. The government is starting to address this painful issue.

Starting next year, we will start building housing, and at the same time, together with colleagues from the Legislative Assembly, we will discuss the program and criteria for providing housing. We will try to make it understandable, transparent and accessible , — says Mikhail Razvozhaev.

As for patriotic work, the governor recalled that since March 1, Sevastopol has revived the tradition of holding school-wide assemblies with the removal of the State flag of the Russian Federation, the performance of the anthem of the country and the Hero City of Sevastopol. This initiative later took root in other regions of the country.

In addition, starting from September 5, in all schools, colleges and technical schools of Sevastopol, class teachers will begin classes from the cycle “Conversations about the important”, and moral topics will be repeatedly raised in these classes.

Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov addressed the participants of the conference via video link.

On the eve of 2023 the year declared by the President as the “Year of the Teacher and Mentor” , we will continue to work to strengthen the prestige of the teaching profession. I would like to ask you to submit your proposals on what events within the framework of the “Year of the Teacher and Mentor” are important for you, to tell how you, teachers and teachers, see the further development of the education system. Proposals can be sent to the Ministry of Education. It is you, like no one else, who knows what worries the children and their parents. One of our main tasks is to create conditions for teachers and mentors to be respected in society and to be able to carry out their direct duties: to educate and teach children, and not waste time on bureaucracy , Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov emphasized in a video message. .

In addition, Sergei Kravtsov added that the discussion on the provision of so-called educational services by teachers has already been put to an end. This concept is excluded from the Law on Education, which radically changes the attitude towards the teacher, emphasizes the significance and sublimity of his mission.

Parliament Speaker Vladimir Nemtsev thanked the Government of Sevastopol, the city’s Department of Education for the efforts being made to develop the education system in our city.

As the head of parliament and as a parent, I want to say thank you to our Government, which promptly builds not just new school buildings, but educational complexes of a new generation. I want to thank the Department of Education for its open and honest position, readiness to meet the needs of parents and teachers, the ability to listen, hear and compromise. And, of course, I want to say a huge thank you to our teachers for their work, for their patience, for their efforts and ability to find talent in every child. Let every day open something new and good not only for your students, but also for you , — emphasizes Vladimir Nemtsev.

Senator of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Altabaeva noted that now at the federal level they are resolving the issue with history teachers, who are not enough. We need people who will be able to teach in the liberated territories as well.

The global, tectonic changes that the world is going through, our country, of course, cannot but affect schools. In addition, in the economy, culture, international relations, the changes that are taking place, of course, are pushing the school towards global renewal. We felt it, we knew it, and we want it. This poses serious tasks for us in the work , — said Ekaterina Altabaeva.

The senator also stressed that it is necessary to increase the number of hours for teaching history in schools. In addition, we are talking about the introduction of history lessons in elementary school.
