Resident of the village Kholmovka, Bakhchisarai district, convicted of fraud on an especially large scale. The man sold the land he owned twice. The Bakhchisarai District Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced the culprit to three years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of two years.
As established by the materials of the criminal case, in 2009, a local resident sold a plot of land belonging to him, located in the village of Kholmovka, to a resident of the Donetsk region. The land purchase and sale agreement was concluded with a notary. After a long time, the fraudster came up with a criminal plan to re-sell the land that previously belonged to him. At the end of 2021, he applied to the Bakhchisarai department of the State Committee for State Registration and Cadastre of the Republic of Crimea, where he fraudulently received an archival copy of the state act for the sold land plot, and then submitted an application for state registration of ownership of the land, hiding the fact that the plot was his already sold. Soon the man again sold the specified land plot to another person, thereby causing material damage to the true owner of the plot in the amount of 1,100,000 rubles — The details of the case were announced by the press service of the court.
At the court hearing, the defendant did not admit guilt.
Despite the defendant’s denial of guilt, the court, having examined all the evidence at the trial, came to the conclusion that the fraudster was guilty and that his actions were correctly qualified under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — fraud, that is, the theft of someone else’s property by deception, committed on an especially large scale.
No civil claim has been filed in the case.
