The Bakhchisarai District Court of the Republic of Crimea brought the former director of the municipal unitary enterprise «REP» to criminal responsibility

The Bakhchisaray District Court of the Republic of Crimea prosecuted the former director of the municipal unitary enterprise «REP» in Bakhchisaray for abuse of his official powers. The guilty court imposed a suspended sentence of 3 years in prison with a probationary period of 2 years.
As follows from the materials of the criminal case, while holding the position of director of the municipal unitary enterprise «REP» in Bakhchisarai, at different periods in 2020, the official helped two of her acquaintances get jobs at the municipal unitary enterprise «REP». Showing support, expressed in the unreasonable encouragement of these subordinates, the director set their wages in an amount greater than the established one, in order to obtain mutual favors. The criminal actions of the official resulted in a significant violation of the legitimate interests of the administration of the city of Bakhchisarai, resulting in property damage inflicted on the municipal body in the amount of about 1,200,000 rubles. At the court hearing, the former director of the municipal unitary enterprise «REP» in Bakhchisarai agreed with the accusation and fully admitted her guilt— reported the press service of the court.
The court came to the conclusion that the defendant was guilty and the qualifications of her actions were correct in both episodes under Part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — the use by an official of his official powers contrary to the interests of the service, if this act was committed out of another personal interest and entailed a significant violation of the legitimate interests of organizations.
No civil claim has been filed in the case. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
