The “belt” fine in Simferopol is a reality. Where are the cameras installed to record this violation?
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Simferopol, cameras have appeared that record violations of the rules for using seat belts and motorcycle helmets. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea.
In total, in the capital of Crimea, cameras recording such violations are installed in nine areas:
- Pobedy Avenue – Kechkemetskaya Street;
- intersection of Sevastopolskaya streets and Obezdnaya streets;
- intersection of Evpatoria Highway street — Lesya Ukrainka street — Persikovy lane;
- intersection of Kirov Street — Samokisha Street;
- intersection of Gagarin Street — Gaidar Street;
- intersection of Heroes of Stalingrad Street — Marshal Vasilevsky Street;
- intersection of Gagarin Street — Kim Street;
- eastern bypass of Simferopol 6th kilometer;
- eastern bypass of Simferopol 7th kilometer.
Let us note that on the Tavrida highway you can “earn” a fine “for the belt”. Two photo-recording devices appeared on the Tavrida highway from Simferopol towards Sevastopol. Three cameras were also installed from Simferopol to Kerch.
Let us remind you that for not fastening a seat belt (both driver and passenger), a fine of one thousand rubles is provided. If paid within 20 days from the date of the decision, you can pay 50% of this amount, that is, 500 rubles.
The road photo recording complex takes up to 25 photos per second and sends them to the traffic police server. There, the materials are studied by a computer program that is trained to identify the steering wheel, hands and seat belt in the photo. If the belt is not visible in the pictures, the computer generates material about traffic violations.
