The best external pilot was chosen in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol

In the Sevastopol emergency department, competitions were held as part of a review competition for the title of «The Best External Pilot of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.» Employees of the group of robotic means and unmanned aerial systems demonstrated their skills in a number of tests.

At the first stage, the participants answered the questions of the theoretical block, at the second stage, practical skills were assessed. The competition ground was equipped in one of the picturesque places in the region: near the village of Chernorechye. Here, the contestants prepared for the flight and lifted unmanned aerial systems into the air. At the proposed distance, it was necessary to perform maneuvers, bypassing obstacles and performing aerobatics of varying complexity. Points were awarded for the speed of movement and the correctness of the elements. Quadcopters in service with the Russian Emergencies Ministry help responding units perform a number of important tasks. In particular, assess the situation at the site of major fires, natural disasters and other incidents. Thanks to the built-in thermal imagers, such systems are successfully used to search for missing people in mountainous forest areas and to patrol in areas at risk of forest fires. In the Sevastopol Emergency Department, unmanned aerial vehicles are also used to monitor territories during operations to destroy explosive ordnance during the Great Patriotic War.

All Sevastopol specialists, who are in charge of working with unmanned aerial systems, showed good results. According to the results of passing all the competitive stages, the captain of the internal service, Ilya Orel, won. He will represent the agency of the Hero City at the All-Russian level competitions.
