The best public safety activists were recognized in Sevastopol

A ceremonial meeting of the interdepartmental working group on organizing the activities of public security strong points was held in Sevastopol, dedicated to the first anniversary of the creation of strong points.
Exactly a year ago, on behalf of the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev, the activities of public security strongholds were organized. During this period, 10 such strongholds were opened together with the police.
Members of public safety strongholds are actively involved in maintaining public order, helping local police officers perform their functions, receiving citizens, providing free legal advice, and distributing propaganda leaflets on crime prevention.
The creation of public safety strongholds in the city of Sevastopol is a response to the public request of Sevastopol residents with an active civic position to interact with the law enforcement unit in order to increase the level of public safety in the Hero City– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of public security, Alexey Krasnokutsky.
During the meeting, the results of the joint work of members of public security strongholds and police officers over the year of work were summed up:
— 165 offenses were suppressed;
— assistance was provided in accepting 379 statements and explanations;
— 92 supervised persons were inspected;
— 954 door-to-door and door-to-door visits were organized;
— 870 preventive conversations were conducted;
— 26 inspections of weapons storage conditions;
— 99 times vigilantes participated in procedural actions;
— 58 facts of obtaining operationally significant information.
At the end of the meeting, Alexey Krasnokutsky presented to the district police officers and members of the strongholds the gratitude of the governor of the city of Sevastopol, letters of gratitude from the governor of the city of Sevastopol and the department of public security, as well as valuable gifts.
In addition, the winners of the second stage of the “Best People’s Guard of Sevastopol” competition were awarded at the event.
As a result of the competition, the winners were:
— 1st place was taken by Mikhail Sergeevich Suldin, a member of the ROO “Voluntary People’s Druzhina of Sevastopol”;
— 2nd place was taken by Yury Sergeevich Makeev, a member of the ROO “Voluntary People’s Druzhina of Sevastopol”;
— 3rd place was taken by Galina Viktorovna Losiva, a member of the ROO “Voluntary People’s Druzhina of Sevastopol.”
The winners of the competition were also solemnly rewarded with certificates of honor from the city’s public safety department.
