A three-day educational forum for representatives of the DobroSTART volunteer community is being held in Sevastopol, which for the third time brought together 100 participants. Volunteers will have to improve their professional and non-professional skills, as well as develop the image of a modern volunteer through personal stories. The first day of the forum is dedicated to immersing participants in the internal processes of volunteering, identifying development prospects and growth points. The participants talked about the experience of volunteering and prospects with the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Igor Mikheev.
Volunteer work, humanitarian aid collections, providing patronage assistance to children, families, veterans — any participation in volunteer events can be a good start for you in social activities, because it helps you understand in which area you can be useful and where your growth points are. Participants were also able to talk with the Deputy Minister of Youth Policy of the Lugansk People’s Republic Vasily Noskov. He talked about his career path from volunteering to his current position. On the second day, Natalya Davydova will talk about the capabilities of the Practice Center and the projects of the Tavrida art cluster. The guys will also visit the “VOLUNTEERING” block from Roman Kiriyak, head of the department for working with lecturers of the Russian Society “Knowledge”, where they will learn about modern trends in volunteering. Anastasia Bakanova, head of the coordination resource center for supporting the volunteer movement in the Tyumen region, will talk about current areas of volunteering.
I came to DobroSTART for the second time with the goal of obtaining from professionals the knowledge that would improve my competencies as both a participant and an organizer of events. The experience of volunteering and development stories of invited guests charge with incredible motivation to work further and try new things despite all fears,” notes forum participant Elena Shevchenko.
Volunteers at the forum will also receive master classes from trainers of the Sevastopol regional training center “Skill” on the development of the volunteer community, client-oriented events and working with feedback, and intellectual games on the topic of volunteering. Participants will also make amulets and write letters of support for fighters of a special military operation, and will communicate with a Sevastopol serviceman as part of the All-Russian project “Your Hero”. The “DobroSTART” forum has been implemented since 2022 with the aim of supporting volunteerism in Sevastopol, as well as involving young people in volunteer activities and charity within the framework of the regional project “Social Activity” of the national project “Education”.
