The bill on conducting an experiment to legalize guest houses will affect Crimea and Sevastopol

The State Duma adopted in the first reading bill on conducting an experiment to legalize guest houses in Sevastopol, Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory.

It is expected to last from April 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026. All guest houses will have to enter a special register — a single list of classified hotels, ski slopes, beaches, maintained by the Ministry of Economic Development — and receive a unique number. Advertising of a guest house without indicating the registration number will be prohibited.

To be included in the register, a guest house must meet several conditions: the owner must be registered in it at the place of residence, or it can be registered in another housing if it is located on the same site as the guest house.
