The Black Sea Fleet's fleet has been replenished with new cross-country vehicles
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On November 30, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, Deputy Chairman of the City Legislative Assembly Ilya Zhuravlev and Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov presented the keys to four new all-terrain vehicles (ZIL, UAZ Patriot, two UAZ SGR) to the commander of one of the military units of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
Mikhail Razvozhaev expressed words of support to the servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet and thanked them for their service. He noted that today the civilian population of the city has again rallied to help the front.
The Hero City of Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet are two sides of the same coin. We are always together — in sorrow and in joy. Therefore, we are trying to do everything possible to help our military in difficult and responsible work. I hope the new technology will allow you to perform the tasks assigned to you even more efficiently. Sevastopol has a very united and developed civil society. Several years ago, on my instructions, the headquarters “We are together — Sevastopol” was created: we once fought the coronavirus, helped doctors, then solved many problems during the mass evacuation of residents from new territories; the headquarters helped refugees and transported humanitarian aid to the line of combat contact. Now the headquarters unites a huge number of caring Sevastopol residents who provide philanthropic assistance and come up with initiatives, including to purchase equipment for our military units. I would like to express special gratitude to my friend Ilya Grigorievich Zhuravlev, who actively participated in the acquisition of this equipment. We won’t dwell on this, because there are still many tasks ahead.— the head of the city addressed the military personnel.
Ilya Zhuravlev said that the opportunity to transfer new cars to the fleet appeared thanks to the all-Russian “Shoulder to Shoulder” movement.
The initiator of the “Shoulder to Shoulder” movement, Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky, a year ago called on all political forces in the country to put aside their differences and unite for a common victory. So in Sevastopol there are no such contradictions: thanks to our governor, political forces work under the motto “We are together, shoulder to shoulder, for a Russian victory.” Today, many people are helping the front: weaving camouflage nets, repairing vehicles for transfer to the front, children writing letters to soldiers — we are all united, more than ever, to fight modern fascism, which has raised its head in Ukraine. Thanks to our joint efforts, victory will be ourssaid the Vice Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
The commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Sokolov, noted the special unity of the city and the fleet during the days of the special military operation.
The transfer of car keys to the unit commander takes place on the eve of the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Crimean naval base, which today honorably serves the Motherland. Today’s event is another evidence of the unity of the Black Sea Fleet and the Government of Sevastopol during a special military operation,” emphasized Viktor Sokolov.
He expressed confidence that the new equipment will last a long time and will help the soldiers carry out their tasks.
