The budget for 2024-2026 was approved in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On November 8, the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, in the second reading, adopted a law on a three-year city budget — for 2024 and for the planning period 2025-2026. The first reading took place on November 24, after which a number of amendments and additions were made to the draft, primarily relating to the social sphere. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that early adoption of the budget will allow the Government of Sevastopol to begin implementing key activities now.
This year, the city’s main financial document was adopted earlier than ever. This means that we can now begin to implement it — bring the limits to responsible executors and begin contracting, — the press service quotes the head of the city.
The total budget revenue of the city of Sevastopol for 2024 is planned at 61.1 billion rubles. Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized that the budget remains socially oriented, it includes all social obligations, and all payments are indexed. Almost 54% of the funds – 35.2 billion rubles – were allocated to social expenses. Of this amount, about 8.0 billion rubles are allocated for social payments alone. The largest share in this segment of expenditures is occupied by the sectors of education (18%), social policy (13.9%) and healthcare (9.7%).
In the healthcare sector, we had a real breakthrough this year. We allocated more than 300 million rubles for high-tech medical care, which is provided in city hospitals No. 1 and 9, as well as in the city oncology clinic, and more than a thousand people received this help. This is very important, because in our city we now have the opportunity to carry out complex operations, and in most cases there is no need to travel to other regions for this. Of course, we have found funds to continue this program next year.the governor emphasizes.
When working on the budget, much attention was paid to the maintenance of public transport and the allocation of funds to compensate carriers for the cost of travel for preferential categories of citizens — today about 130 thousand people in the city enjoy benefits.
The joint work of deputies and the government made it possible to form a balanced budget aimed at solving the main tasks, noted the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Vladimir Nemtsev.
The budget is balanced, and most importantly, it contains funds to fulfill all social obligations for our residents. The main problematic issues voiced by the deputies were reflected in the amendments that were considered today,” said the speaker of parliament.
When forming the budget, all conditions were created to fulfill social obligations. The budget provides funds for these purposes in full, including at the same time increasing the targeting of social assistance.
