The building of the skating rink at the Sevastopol stadium of the KChF is almost completed

The building of the ice arena, which is being built at the KChF stadium (4th Bastionnaya Street), is almost ready. The declared percentage of overall readiness for today is 98%. The customer and owner of the stadium is the Black Sea Fleet, design and construction work is carried out by ARGO JSC.
Recall that the facility is being built as part of a comprehensive reconstruction of the stadium of the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet. Thus, the skating rink building is only the first phase of the entire facility. It is still necessary to build an entrance group with columns, which are already partially completed, and a two-story building of an ice arena 11.8 meters high, with an area of 1560 square meters and a capacity of 350 spectators. At the moment, the builders have completed the entire scope of construction and installation work on the first stage: hockey boards and compartments for substitute players and referees have been installed on the field. Commissioning of low-voltage and electrical systems of the boiler house, heating point, water distribution unit, electrical installation lighting equipment is underway, linoleum is being laid. The cleaning of the premises has begun. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023, and the builders are going to pour the first ice in Junenotes «Sevastopol newspaper».
The new skating rink, as promised, will be available not only for military personnel, but also for the city’s sports federations, which will be able to conduct training and competitions in hockey and figure skating there.
The skating rink is also promised to be open to all ice skating enthusiasts. It is assumed that up to 300 people will be able to use the ice arena daily.
It is also reported that the second stage includes landscaping and fencing with metal structures in such a way that everything that happens at the stadium will be viewed from the outside. A full-sized football field with a total area of 7,140 sq. m. with stands for 2,200 spectators will be built at the renovated stadium.
The stadium will also house an athletics arena with a 400-meter circular and a 100-meter straight running track, two jumping sectors and two outdoor tennis courts.
Recall that the stadium of the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet was built in 1949, it became the first post-war sports facility in Sevastopol.
