The “Cadet Ball” will take place in Kerch in early March.

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A large-scale and very beautiful event called “Cadet Ball” will take place in the concert hall of the “Korabel” cultural center on March 2. According to the portal KERCH.COM.RU, the ball will be dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the annexation of Crimea to Russia. The event was called “Ten years in our native harbor.”

Since November last year, about 90 pairs of cadets, students and participants (including teachers who will perform the minuet) have been rehearsing their appearances on stage. Honored Artist of the Republic of Crimea Olga Fedorenko choreographs dances and leads rehearsals. As in previous years, the author of the idea, scriptwriter and director of the ball is the head of the KSTU student club, Honored Cultural Worker Svetlana Gorbunova.

Svetlana told the KERCH.COM.RU website that the plot is dedicated to the history of the annexation of Crimea to Russia from the time of Catherine II to the present. Such historical figures as Empress Catherine the Great and the Crimean Khan Shagin-Girey will appear on the stage. It will be noted that it is the 240th anniversary of the Kuchuk-Kainardzhi Peace Treaty, and Kerch and the Yenikale fortress became part of Russia even earlier. Viewers will also see Peter the Great, who will talk about the history of the Russian tricolor. A separate block will be devoted to the exodus of the Russian army due to the fact that in 1920 the Russian tricolor was lowered in Crimea, which was raised only 94 years later. Viewers will also see an episode dedicated to the liberation of Kerch in the Great Patriotic War. The finale will be the story of the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 2014.

The “Cadet Ball” will take place in Kerch in early March.
