The campaign “New Year, take it and do it” has started for Crimean youth

From December 8 to 19, at the initiative of student groups of the Republic of Crimea, the “New Year, take it and do it” campaign is taking place. As part of the campaign, student members will go and donate blood at the Simferopol Blood Center. The funds received from blood donation will be used to purchase New Year’s kits for the families of SVO participants, which will be presented on the eve of the New Year. Also, students are already preparing to hold a New Year’s performance for the children of the SVO participants, giving sweet gifts at the end so that the New Year’s holiday becomes a bright and memorable event for them.

The campaign is not only about donating blood, it is about developing the principles of volunteerism, systematic thinking and the ability to work in a team. These are young people united by the desire to benefit society. Every day during the donor stage of the campaign, more than ten student members come to donate blood. There are actually more applicants, but we are trying to distribute them wisely, based on the workload of the educational process and the capacity of the Simferopol Blood Center. The main thing is that the action has several stages, transforming one into another. Donating blood involves helping to collect blood, which is needed now more than ever. Next, the guys begin preparing New Year’s kits for the children, and then organizing and holding events for them on the New Year’s holiday itself. All this forms among young people not only the principles of volunteering, but also systematic thinking and the ability to work in a team, – the press service quotes the commander of student detachments of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Kaidansky.

According to the results of last year, during the event, 106 students took part in it, through whose efforts fifty New Year’s gifts were collected for children. This year the number of students has doubled, which means twice as many happy children.
