The campaign “Water is a safe territory” continues in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, a preventive campaign “Water is a safe territory” is being carried out, its goal is to prevent accidents on water bodies.
Employees of the inspection units of the GIMS center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea daily carry out preventive measures aimed at reducing the number of accidents on the water and increasing the social consciousness of vacationers.
As part of the campaign, GIMS inspectors remind residents and guests of the peninsula about the rules of safe recreation, namely that:
— It is prohibited to swim in unequipped places and in places where boards (full houses) are posted with warnings and prohibitory signs and inscriptions. Violation of this rule is subject to administrative liability.
— it is dangerous to dive in unfamiliar places: there may be stones, snags, metal rods, etc. at the bottom;
— you should not swim in places where there is algae or mud;
— you cannot swim far from the shore without calculating your strength, such behavior is dangerous even for those who know how to swim well, and a person can also find himself in the path of high-speed small vessels and, being unnoticed by the navigator, receive serious injuries;
— it is prohibited to drink alcohol while on beaches and in places of organized recreation near the water;
— small children should not be left near bodies of water without adult supervision, even for a short time;
— when swimming in cold water in hot weather, great caution is required for people with heart disease;
The emergency department emphasized:
Since the beginning of the year, 13 incidents at water bodies have occurred in Crimea, where 9 people died and 3 were rescued.
