The case of the “elimination” of Crimean social activist and blogger Alexander Talipov has been completed

For a million rubles, two residents of Feodosia, on orders from Ukrainian special services, tried twice to blow up blogger and social activist Alexander Talipov.

The investigation of the criminal case against 37 and 38-year-old residents of Feodosia, who are citizens of Ukraine, has been completed. They are accused of intentionally causing death to a person in connection with the performance of his public duty, committed in a generally dangerous way by a group of persons by prior conspiracy for hire and for reasons of political hatred, if the crime was not completed; illegal acquisition, storage of explosives and explosive devices, illegal manufacture of explosive devices, intentional causing of moderate bodily harm, damage to someone else’s property.

The investigation established that the Ukrainian special services persuaded a resident of Feodosia to cooperate via a mobile messenger. To test him, the curators suggested that the candidate set fire to any car with the letter «Z». He completed the task on the night of February 22.

The main order was to eliminate Alexander Talipov, a public figure who provides assistance to SVO participants. For his murder, the curators promised a million rubles. During the first assassination attempt, in June 2023, the remote-controlled device did not work. The second took place on July 12. A moped packed with explosives was detonated in the courtyard of an apartment building. Three women passing by received various injuries.

The suspects were identified and detained during special operations by employees of the republican departments of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. During searches conducted at the places of residence and work of the detainees, weapons, items used to create explosive devices, explosives, a control panel, electronic media and mobile phones containing correspondence with curators from the SBU were seized.

Both defendants in the criminal case admitted their guilt in full, giving exhaustive testimony.

The investigation of the criminal case has been completed. The materials have been sent to the prosecutor’s office for approval of the indictment and transfer of the case to court, the press service of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol reported.
