The question of when the Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol will be completed is not only of the Crimeans. On Friday, at a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to complete the construction of the facility as soon as possible.
In the same place, at a meeting in Pyatigorsk, the deputy chairman of the Council of Crimean Tatars under the head of the Republic of Crimea, the rector of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University, Chingiz Yakubov, noted that the mosque «almost ready, there are finishing touches before its completion«.
At a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations under the leadership of the Head of State, the issue of completing the construction of the Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol was raised. I talked with the founders — it is planned to complete the construction and installation work in September this year— said the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.
The mosque in Simferopol has been under construction since October 2016, the completion dates have been repeatedly postponed.
