The causes of the fatal accident that occurred on the Simferopol-Evpatoria highway on July 16 are being investigated.

On July 16 at 20.15 a traffic accident happened on the Simferopol-Evpatoria highway, near the village. Skvortsovo, Simferopol region.

According to preliminary data, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz car, moving from Evpatoria towards Simferopol, while overtaking, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with the Nissan Note car. A 51-year-old passenger of the Nissan Note died in an accident. The driver of this car and two minors: a 17-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy were injured. A 19-year-old passenger of a Mercedes-Benz car also received bodily injuries. All victims were taken to medical facilities— the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Crimea notes.

Employees of the State traffic inspectorate worked at the scene of the accident, an inspection is being carried out, all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
