The Central Election Commission recommended re-electing Mikhail Malyshev as head of the Crimean election commission again

At a meeting, the Central Election Commission of Russia recommended that the election commission of the Republic of Crimea re-elect Mikhail Malyshev to the post of chairman of the election commission.

In connection with the expiration of the term of office of the current composition of the election commission of Crimea on May 20, on May 2, the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, appointed seven members of the new composition, including Malyshev, and on May 3, the State Council of Crimea appointed the remaining seven members of the election commission of the new composition. Malyshev has held the position of chairman of the election commission since 2014.

To propose to the election commission of the Republic of Crimea the candidacy of Mikhail Grigorievich Malyshev <...> for his election to the post of chairman of the election commission of the Republic of Crimeasays the draft resolution adopted by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

According to the law, the chairman of the election commission of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation is elected by secret ballot at its first meeting from among the members of the commission with the right of casting vote on the proposal of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation. Voting members of the Crimean election commission are re-elected every five years.
