The chief consultant of Gosstroynadzor was detained in Yalta. Caught taking a bribe

In Yalta, an employee of the Ministry of Housing Policy of the Republic of Crimea was taken into custody on charges of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. The Investigative Committee is looking into the case.
Based on the results of activities carried out in cooperation with the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the chief consultant of the management department of Gosstroynadzor of the Department of State Construction Supervision of the Ministry of Housing Policy and State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Crimea. He is accused of receiving a bribe through an intermediary on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). His accomplice was charged with mediation in bribery on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)— reported in Sledkom.
The investigative department for the city of Yalta established that the defendant, through an intermediary, demanded a bribe from the management of a construction company for assistance in obtaining permits for a facility in the village of Gaspra, namely, for issuing a conclusion on the building’s compliance with current urban planning norms and rules.
On the afternoon of November 11, the chief consultant of Gosstroynadzor, while in his car, received 2 million rubles through an intermediary. When detained by FSB operatives, he tried to destroy the illegal reward, but his actions were stopped. During the searches, items were discovered and seized confirming the involvement of the department’s chief consultant in the commission of a crime, as well as other items of interest to the investigative authorities. At the request of the investigator, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the accused,” noted the Sledkom.
Judging by the video that was circulated, more than one person is involved in the case. The bribe-taker also had an intermediary.
