Culinary products, including finished cakes, should be purchased only at official retail outlets. When choosing Easter cakes, it is important to pay attention to the composition: a quality product should contain natural ingredients, such as real eggs and butter. It is also worth paying attention to the appearance of the cake: its top should be dry, and the surface — even without stickiness or wet areas— say experts at Rospotrebnadzor.
Special attention, employees of the department say, must be given to packaging and shelf life of products. Coasting goods are recommended to be stored in the refrigerator, separately from raw foods to minimize the risk of multiplication of microorganisms.
When choosing eggs, Rospotrebnadzor recommends checking the sorting date and appearance: each egg should have a stamp indicating the category and shelf life. So, dietary eggs are stored for no more than 7 days, and canteens — up to 25 days. Important recommendations relate to flour storage: preference should be given to the product in paper packaging, high -quality flour should be white and without extraneous inclusions.
In addition, Rospotrebnadzor advises to pay attention when buying cottage cheese for Easter. High -quality cottage cheese has a white color with a light cream tint and a delicate homogeneous consistency. It is permissible to store cottage cheese for no more than a few days, preferably in a container to avoid oxidation.
