In Simferopol, an employee of the city’s post office turned to the police with a statement about the theft of money — no less than 20 thousand rubles.

The woman explained that one of the working days, she discovered the loss of money after another cleaning of the office space by the staff. The money was in the applicant’s bag, which she kept in the office closet. Reasonably suspecting the cleaner, the applicant tried to negotiate with her, and even took written receipts from her that the intruder would return the stolen goods. After empty promises and inaction of the suspect, the woman contacted the police— told the details in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

Militiamen took up not a clean-handed cleaning lady. The suspect was detained. During the conversation, the attacker confessed to her deed, and said that she had spent the money for her own needs. Currently, the woman has been chosen a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the country.

The investigator of OP No. 3 «Central» of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Simferopol initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («Theft»). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
