The concept for the development of the Scythian Naples Museum-Reserve in Simferopol will be developed by the end of 2024

The document envisages the creation of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Revival of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic of Crimea “Scythian Neapolis”, which will carry out activities to preserve and restore cultural heritage sites located on the territory of the Republic of Crimea, including the Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve “Scythian Neapolis” in Simferopol.

Sergei Aksyonov thanked Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea for his active work in restoring historical monuments.

Thanks to the support of the President, Maxim Stanislavovich Oreshkin, who is a trustee, and federal authorities, we are implementing a program to restore historical monuments in Crimea. I am confident that together we will also implement a project to restore the Scythian Naples complex.– stated the Head of Crimea.

At the same time, Sergei Aksyonov reported that the concept for the development of the Scythian Naples Museum-Reserve will be presented and agreed upon with the Head of State by the end of the year.

There are more than 4.5 thousand historical and cultural monuments in Crimea that require restoration, reconstruction and preservation for future generations. Their revival is one of the important tasks of state policy. The creation of modern infrastructure will make these objects accessible and attractive to guests, which will allow them to be included in existing and new tourist routes.– the Head of the Republic emphasizes.

In turn, Bishop Tikhon noted that the ANO “Revival of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic of Crimea “Naples Scythian” will be engaged in the restoration and revival of all monuments on the territory of Crimea.

In Crimea, many temples, monasteries, and architectural monuments have been preserved and restored. This is a huge amount of work. However, there are monuments that we must preserve for future generations. ANO «Naples Scythian» will be engaged in the restoration and revival of those monuments that really need our participation. These are ancient temples and new construction in Naples Scythian. This is an amazing place that requires both the work of archaeologists and the construction of an interesting complex that will attract visitors and become one of the attractions of Simferopol and Crimea.— the Lord declared.
