In the Kirovsky district, a 46-year-old man was sentenced to restriction of freedom for threatening to kill and imprisoning his partner. The Crimean citizen was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal deprivation of a person’s liberty), Part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat of murder).
The court found that at the end of December 2023, the convict, while at his place of residence, during a conflict with his cohabitant, tied her up and taped her mouth, depriving the victim of the opportunity to move freely and call for help. At the same time, the convict made death threats against the woman.— said the prosecutor’s office.
The illegal actions of the convict were stopped by employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs department for the Kirov region.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 1 year and 6 months of restriction of freedom. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
