The prosecutor’s office of the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol sent a criminal case to court accusing a man of murdering his cohabitant, stealing her money and stealing a car. The prosecutor’s office of the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 38-year-old Sevastopol resident.
He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 105 (murder), paragraph “g”, part 3 of Art. 158 (theft from a bank account) and Part 1 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). According to investigators, in March 2023, a man committed the murder of his 43-year-old partner, whom he met several years ago in a medical institution where she worked as a nurse. Subsequently, the accused continued to live in the same apartment, spent money from the deceased’s bank card and used her car. Ten days later, the police received a statement from the deceased’s colleagues about her disappearance and an unpleasant smell from her apartment. Arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers found a man intoxicated. The body of the deceased was in the bathroom.
The accused has been detained. He does not admit guilt in what he did. At the request of the investigator, supported by the prosecutor’s office, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. The investigation was carried out by the investigative department for the Gagarinsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case with an approved indictment to the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits. Previously, conflicts had arisen between the accused and the deceased. In 2021, he was convicted of illegally entering a woman’s apartment against her will, but their relationship subsequently resumed.
