The court granted the prosecutor's claim to eliminate violations in the use of lands of the Baidarsky nature reserve

The Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office, with the involvement of specialists from the State Budgetary Institution «Directorate of Protected Natural Areas and Forestry of the City of Sevastopol», conducted an inspection of the legality of the use of lands of the state nature reserve of regional significance «Baidarsky».

It was established that a commercial organization had unauthorizedly constructed 15 picnic pavilions, 6 prefabricated wooden structures, which were «houses» for round-the-clock recreation for the population, and a wooden platform on several plots of land in the reserve. The work was carried out in violation of the regime of a specially protected natural area, since unauthorized construction of recreation areas, as well as electricity and water supply networks, sewerage and other facilities for their operation is prohibited within the boundaries of the recreational zone of the reserve. The environmental prosecutor filed a claim with the court to exclude illegal recreational activities and release land plots under the control of the State Budgetary Institution «Directorate of Protected Areas and Forestry of the City of Sevastopol», — the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office reported.

The Balaklava District Court of Sevastopol granted the prosecutor’s claim in full. The court’s decision has not entered into legal force.
