The court in Sevastopol will consider the case of a man who accidentally killed his child. Alcohol, of course

The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol sent a criminal case to court against a man who, through negligence, caused the death of his 3-month-old son.

He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm through negligence) and Part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence). According to the investigation, on April 19, 2023, in the evening, the men, together with their cohabitant and friends, at their place of residence on the street. Gorpischenko celebrated the completion of three months for his son. The father was an alcoholic drinker. After the guests left, in a state of extreme intoxication, he took the baby in his arms to calm him down, but dropped it, as a result of which the child hit his head on the wooden floor. Later that night, in a dream, a man accidentally laid his body on his son, as a result of which the child suffocated. The investigation of the criminal case was carried out by the investigative department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the State Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol— reported the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.

The district prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
